Superconductivity is a phenomina of zero. Zero electrical resistance, and the expulsion of magnetic fields. There are no collisions inside a superconductor. NO FRICTION. Locks the fluxons in place, which in turn locks itself in place, this is called quantum locking. If put on magnetic circle you can rotate it, so it will stay locked. Can stay suspended in midair. Not levitation, but Quantum locking. Can make MRI machines and charge huge power plants with big amount of superconducting wire. Could hold many times it's weight. For example a tiny car you could hold in your hand. One thing I noticed was that in order for it to stay levitated it had to be frozen, and as soon as it warmed up it would stop the quantum locking, and it would drop. So even though this cool thing, that could help with a lot of things works, it only works with at certain times. In my opinion we need to research this more, and figure out ways to use it without freezing.

I really like how this episode has the monster be a little kid, because nobody would ever expect it, and it shows that if kids were in charge it would be a very scary world. The little kid can get away with everything, but if anyone ever tries to stop him he can just kill them or make them go away. This reminds me of a Star Trek episode, where this one teenage boy named Charlie X has powers too, and because he can't control his emotions he kills people, and makes people do whatever he wants them to do. In It's a Good Life all the adults scared about what they're doing, all the time because the little kid could just wish them into the corn field. It's cool how they have to always watch what they're thinking, because what if you were put in that situation, would you be able to focus on only good thoughts? When thinking about this, I think I would be wished into the corn field because my mind wanders a lot. So I would not please the little kid. Suspended Animation: process by which animals die then reanimate and live again. Suspended animation has brought deer and mice back to life, a 13 year old, and a 65 year old. All were frozen when found, and when exposed to heat their heart started beating again. Scientist believe that an organism is not dead until they are warm. Hydrogen Sulfide is toxic to humans, but if exposed to it, they die, they can be brought into open air and can come back to life. Giving animals sulfide, letting them die, then exposing them to open air can bring them back to life. Exposure to Hydrogen Sulfide can lower your chances of heart attacks, and other severe diseases to humans. Scientists have started human experiments with Hydrogen Sulfide. Suspended animation can save thousands of babies a year. It's amazing how humans can take a deadly poison and use it to help people in need. |
